SUMMARY:NZTech Connect Event - Addressing the Tech Talent Shortage
DESCRIPTION:This is a Tech Alliance event\nNot available online\n\nIt’s a known fact that access to tech talent in New Zealand is a key issue\, and there is now strong anecdotal evidence that the growing tech talent shortage is detrimentally impacting the digitalisation and recovery of other sectors. It is also hampering the growth of the digital exporting companies who are responding by shifting roles out of New Zealand to the talent. \nJoin NZTech’s CEO Graeme Muller\, Paul Matthews CEO of IT Professionals to discuss strategies for addressing these tech talent shortages. \nGraeme Muller will share the latest data from the Critical Worker Border Exemption Survey (currently in the market) and Paul Matthews will provide an update on the initiatives being recommended within the skills workstream of the Digital Technology Industry Transformation Plan. \n\nSpeakers: \nGraeme Muller– Chief Executive Officer of NZTech \nPassionate about the impact that technology can make to society and the economy.
