Quantum Discovery Workshops

Tech New Zealand is bringing industry and researchers together for a series of Quantum Discovery Workshops this March, in partnership with the New Zealand Institute for Advanced Technology (NZIAT), and we’d really value your input.

Quantum technologies are expected to shape future industries, infrastructure and New Zealand’s competitiveness. These workshops give businesses and researchers the opportunity to help shape what comes next, so any future government investment reflects real capability and demand.

Insights shared during the workshops will be used to inform advice to the Government on whether New Zealand should invest in a national quantum technology platform, and where that investment could deliver the greatest long‑term value for New Zealand.

Each workshop is a half‑day, in‑person, facilitated discussion focused on:

  • New Zealand’s quantum and quantum‑enabling capability
  • Barriers to scale, adoption and commercial impact
  • Industry‑relevant opportunities and potential pathways.

Dates and locations

  • Friday 27 March – Dunedin (9:00am–2:00pm)
  • Monday 30 March – Wellington (9:00am–2:00pm)
  • Tuesday 31 March – Auckland (9:00am–2:00pm)
