DESCRIPTION:From The Institute of Directors\, the Young Directors Steering Group is hosting the first event in their series for young directors to come together to share\, grow and learn together.  \nThis panel discussion is created by and for directors and aspiring directors in the under-40 age group. All ages are welcome. Young panelists will share their experiences in gaining their roles\, what they have learned along the way and their hopes and aspirations for their future governance careers. \nThe aim of the series is to break down the barriers for Young Directors to pursue a governance role through a series of engaging workshops\, focussing on topics that: \n\npromote the value and diversity of thought that Young Directors bring to the boardroom\nchallenge the perception or assumptions that might be holding Young Directors back from taking their first step\, or for boards to consider applications from Young Directors\ncreate networking opportunities for like-minded individuals\nshine a light on talented Young Directors who are already on a governance journey or are ready for the next opportunity
