FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Auckland, New Zealand
11 December 2025
Aotearoa’s united voice for the technology ecosystem this week introduced its new identity: Tech New Zealand. The name brings together the organisation previously known as NZTech and the Tech Alliance under one clear, connected banner.
The new identity reflects the organisation’s evolution into a nationwide network of 16 Communities, representing thousands of organisations across areas including artificial intelligence, agritech, fintech, SaaS, biotech, digital identity and education technology.
Tech New Zealand now serves as the steady centre of the ecosystem — a place where individual strengths become collective progress. Each Community maintains its own governance and specialist focus, united by a shared commitment to advancing technology’s contribution to Aotearoa’s future.
Chief Executive Graeme Muller says the refreshed brand offers greater clarity for members, partners and government.
“Our Communities have grown stronger and more interconnected over time. Tech New Zealand gives us a clear and cohesive way to express that collective effort — and the impact our ecosystem delivers for Aotearoa’s future.”
Brand and Marketing Manager Courteney Peters, who led the two-year brand development programme alongside design agency, Curative, says the identity brings long-standing collaboration to the foreground.
“This rebrand doesn’t change who we are — it simply makes our structure and purpose clearer. Tech New Zealand gives us the language to show how our Communities work together, and the confidence to tell that story with unity and humility.”
The new brand will roll out across digital channels, events and reports in the coming months.
