The next event in our series of regular events for members in Wellington, with the intent to pull together topics of interest to the community, get talking about some ideas and workstreams that NZTech could facilitate.
June Event – Science & Big Data at Callaghan Innovation
Join us on a tour of the Sensing and Automation Team at Callaghan Innovation, followed by presentations by Callaghan Innovation on some exciting innovation projects.
Donal Krouse will share with you:
- A big data project that helped Movio develop a personalised film recommendation system based on customer loyalty data.
- A data driven intervention system to prevent hospitalisation following a Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) attack.
Dr Mark Poletti will then outline his research to:
- Improve sound systems for concert halls, successfully commercialised by Meyer Sound, and deployed in theatres around the world including the Zellerbach theatre in Berkley, CA.
They’ll also be an opportunity for a drink and catch-up before you depart.
