AWIS 2026 – registration open
The Association for Women in the Sciences (AWIS) triennial conference provides an opportunity for women working in or supporting the sciences, and their advocates, to develop their skills to support their professional advancement, and opportunities to learn from and network with other women working in the sciences.
The 12th triennial AWIS conference will be taking place at venues across New Zealand on 3-4 September 2026, celebrating the 40th anniversary since AWIS was formed.
Recognising current financial and travel challenges across New Zealand, we are hosting our first hybrid conference. Venues across New Zealand will host the conference, with a mixture of online and in-person sessions. We believe this will allow more women to attend the conference (by reducing costs) but still offer the face-to-face networking that attendees value.
